6 Main Card Predictions For UFC Fight Night: Hunt vs. Nelson

5. Kiichi Kunimoto vs. Richard Walsh

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32lfcdP4JaY Weight Class: Welterweight Make no mistake - while there are plenty of locals on this card, due to the relative inactivity of the UFC in Japan, at least compared to the numerous trips the promotion makes to Brazil, for example, this isn't a card just loaded with run of the mill local fighters - it's loaded with some of the best Japanese fighters out there. In particular, Kiichi Kunimoto (17€“5€“2 (1)) is coming off a Performance of the Night fight in his last trip to the octagon, a submission win over Daniel Sarafian. He's also a former HEAT welterweight champion, and like Kyoji Horiguchi in the first main card fight, he's getting a very beatable opponent. In fact, if anything, that's the one criticism we can make about this card - up to the co-main event, the fights are looking a little one-sided. Walsh is a veteran of The Ultimate Fighter Nations: Canada vs. Australia. Representing Australia, he didn't fare so well on the show (it was an all-Canadian final), but he did win his first fight in the UFC, at the series finale in Quebec. Fighting out of Sydney, "Filthy Rich" (8-1) at least won't have to deal with too much jet lag, but he's still at a vast disadvantage in experience and fighting in enemy territory. He's susceptible to submission (his lone pro less was by rear naked choke), and Kunimoto will be looking to sink one in. Kunimoto via submission in the second.
