6 Main Card Predictions For UFC Fight Night: Hunt vs. Nelson

3. Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Amir Sadollah

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsZi1Zb7W60 Weight Class: Welterweight Sexyyama returns after over two years away from the octagon! Yoshihiro Akiyama (13-5-0, 2NC) takes on Amir Sadollah (6-4), and like Akiyama, Sadollah has been out of action since 2012. That means the ring rust factor is out here, since both fighters have been gone an equivalent amount of time. What this fight really boils down to is a matter of motivation. Akiyama had lost four in a row and was in a self-imposed exile, while Sadollah was battling injuries over the last couple of years. His last fight was a loss to Dan Hardy. Akiyama originally talked about fighting Wanderlei Silva, and only wanted to fight an opponent with a decent name. Sadollah, while not a huge name, is an Ultimate Fighter champ (season 7) who has only ever fought in the UFC, a feat few fighters can claim. This is going to boil down to who wants it more. It could also be a retirement fight for Akiyama. In the end, Sadollah might just have more gas in the tank career wise, but if this is Akiyama's last stand, he takes it via decision.
