7 Concerns About Anderson Silva's UFC Return

4. The Dream Fight May Fall Apart

Anderson Silva Nick Diaz Earth to Nick Diaz: most high level athletes do not sign big contract extensions, agree to a huge fight with a returning Anderson Silva, then go out and get popped for drunk driving. It's just a stupid, stupid move. Nick Diaz knows a thing or two about boneheaded moves however. This may be his biggest. Time will tell, but Diaz, who was scheduled to face Anderson Silva at UFC 183 in January 2015, now has court proceedings in his future. The UFC haven't disciplined him at all yet, but assuming he avoids jail or suspension, he still has his focus off training and on the courtroom. Not ideal at all. It appears this dream fight could fall apart, although we hope it doesn't.
