Lets say Anderson Silva comes back, and is successful at beating a couple of fighters at middleweight. It's possible, very possible, bordering on likely. We wouldn't bet against him. Now consider that Silva has already said he's not interested in winning the belt again. Who does he fight? There are only so many non-title marquee fights in the division. Cung Le, should he fight again, could be an option. A dream fight against GSP could happen if GSP decided he wanted to do it. There's Michael Bisping, should he fail to get past Luke Rockhold later this fall. What then? At some point, Silva may wind up taking on ranked fighters in the division, and he's more than capable of beating them. Suddenly, he's knocking off guys that should be fighting for the belt, while not fighting for it himself. Not a situation fans want to see, nor the UFC, but it could be an issue.
