7 Concerns About Anderson Silva's UFC Return

1. Tarnishing His Legacy

Anderson-Silva Now we come to our greatest concern, as fans. It's fun to watch Silva fight, but maybe it's time to hang them up. If not for his safety (he seems to think that's no longer an issue), then for his legacy. If Silva comes back, and is a shadow of his former self, due to ring rust, age, injuries, and a subconscious fear of getting hurt in the cage again, he's only going to hurt his legacy in the long run. Even if he struggles to a few decision wins, it's not going to be the same. Of course, if he comes out and crushes a couple of decent fighters like Nick Diaz right out of the gate, then this worry is for nothing - but it, like all the others, is something to keep in mind.
