The seven-game losing streak has seen Newcastle suffer four reversals at home and three away - with the Magpies failing to score an away goal in that time. In fact, the last time John Carver's men scored away from home was more than four-and-a-half matches ago, when Papiss Cissé put the Magpies in front against Alan Pardew's Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. Since Cissé's 42nd-minute header against Palace, Newcastle have failed to score at the Etihad Stadium (vs Manchester City), at Goodison Park (vs Everton), at the Stadium of Light (vs Sunderland) and at Anfield (vs Liverpool) - making it 408 minutes in all since their last Premier League away strike.
