7 Things To Look Forward To At UFC Dublin

5. The Continual Rise Of Gunnar Nelson

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ0aQGVutAY The undefeated Icelandic fighter Gunnar Nelson, who is clearly being primed for a huge push in the company, will face off against yet another tough opponent, in America's Zak Cummings. Nelson has been on an incredible streak ever since debuting in the promotion back in 2012. With wins over DaMarques Johnson, Jorge Santiago, and most recently, an impressive first round guillotine win over Russia's Oomari Akhmedov at Fight Night London. Although Nelson has already beaten a profusion of talented fighter, it is arguable that Zak Cummings is his biggest challenge to date. Cummings remains undefeated in the UFC, and is riding a four fight overall win streak, including wins over Ben Alloway and Yan Cabral. Ever since dropping down to welterweight Cummings has seemed like a fighter with a new outlook, utilising his strength dropping from middleweight to give him an extra edge. The drop for Cummings seemed most logical due to his problems cutting weight at 185lbs. However, Nelson's black belt in BJJ has shown how deadly he can be if the fight is taken to the ground. Cummings is a brown belt, but just as clinical on the mat. Many would feel that Nelson has the advantage on the ground, but Cummings has been very vocal about the improvement of his hands, an area he may be able to surprise SBG's Gunnar Nelson.
