7 Things To Look Forward To At UFC Dublin

6. The Official UFC Debut Of Cathal Pendred

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-xSpNHD0pA When he made his debut on season 19 of The Ultimate Fighter, it seemed that no body wanted to face Cathal Pendred, as two of his possible qualifying round opponents withdrew, giving him an automatic pass into the house. Mike King, had a much tougher route into the house, him and Nordine Taleb had an absolute war; which subsequently gave Taleb a shot at TUF Canada series, King looked superb in his qualification fight, but the war may have had an impact on his progression through the show. King faced off against Eddie Gordon in the first round, losing by unanimous decision. King looked a shadow of what he had showcased in his first fight, which was an incredible shame. Had he have won, he would have gone on to face Cathal Pendred, who had bested Hector Urbina over three rounds. Instead, Cathal came up against the extremely impressive Gordon. Pendred looked the part for the first round and a half, however once Urbina utilised his wrestling things spiralled for the SBG fighter. There was no shame in this for either fighter as Gordon would go on to win the show. Now, refreshed and revitalised, both King and Pendred will clash in front of Cathal's native Ireland. This one really has the chance to be a barn burner.
