8 Men Who Will Shape Man Utd's Title Challenge Next Season

5. Ander Herrera

Manchester United fans will be in a state of excitement following Ander Herrera's first appearance for the club on Wednesday. The new signing created three assists in the 7-0 demolition of LA Galaxy and United supporters will be crossing their fingers that the former Athletic Bilbao man can replicate that form in the Premier League. It may be too early to be getting ahead of ourselves, but Herrera could finally be the long-term replacement for Paul Scholes the club have been looking for for the last two years. His passing range is exquisite, as is his ability to read the game, and he will certainly inject some much-needed creativity into the Red Devil's laborious midfield next season. Of course, it could take time for his to adapt, as well. There is no guarantee he will enjoy a breakout season in his debut campaign at Old Trafford. How well he performs though could have a bearing on how well United themselves perform in the league and cup competitions, and the Basque man could well shape United's title challenge next season.
