8 Reasons Why Man City Will Be Pep Guardiola's Biggest Test

8. He Isn't Entering A Two-Team League

Pep is currently in the hotseat at Bayern, in a league that realistically only Bayern ever really win. Sure, the last couple of seasons have seen an uprise in fortune for Dortmund, and prior to that there was a small revival at Wolfsburg, but by and large Bayern are the big dogs of Germany. If someone else wins the title, it's mostly because Bayern don't.

Similarly in his role at Barcelona, he was managing in a league where the league is batted between Barca and Real Madrid almost every single season, bar an occasional anomaly. He only ever had one or two legitimate challengers to the league title each season.

Pep is entering a largely different world as soon as he steps into England. In the last six seasons, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, and (presumably) Leicester will have been champions in England's top division. And this season alone is proof that each of the €œbig€ clubs are more than capable of beating one another.

With the potential of so many more legitimate challengers in one league, Guardiola may well find himself out of his comfort zone.
