This one did the rounds last season and split opinion among Rangers fans and non-Rangers fans alike. Since leaving Rangers in 1998, Gattuso went on to have a stellar career with Milan but his record as a coach has seen his fiery temperament come to the fore more often than not. The man who once almost got into a full blown fist fight with Joe Jordan has enjoyed less than stellar spells with Sion, Palermo and latterly OFI Crete who he once stormed out on during a press conference only to go back the next day and his association with the glory days of Rangers saw him linked with the managers' job. Some argued that Gattuso might be the man to light the fire under an under-performing side but many saw him as just too hot to handle and when Rangers hired Stuart McCall as an interim head coach, it seemed they agreed.
