8 Youngsters Who Could Save Newcastle From Relegation

6. Callum Williams

The second youngster to make the bench against West Brom last month, the 19-year-old defender is a fan of playing the ball out from the back. Calm and composed - something which can't be said of Fabricio Coloccini this season - he likens his game to German star Mats Hummels, which makes him sound like the real deal (even if it is a little self-serving). It's yet to be seen how he'd fare in a Newcastle defence that has shipped an embarrassing 49 goals in 26 games this season - only one less than division-worst Sunderland and Norwich City. In one of the hardest positions to deal with as a newcomer, the North East native could have a tough job settling down in a Toon Army back four that has conceded eight goals in their last three games, but it may be time to throw the youth potential in at the deep end.
