Current Club: Unattached. Arsenal's "problems" in the goalkeeping department have been well publicised for a long time, and it's almost a cliche to say that they've struggled to find dependable first choice 'keepers since first David Seaman and then Jens Lehmann ended their time at the club. It's also untrue, especially in recent seasons. Wojciech Szcz™sny might not be the immediately iconic figure that either Seaman or Lehmann cut, but he is a very talented custodian and one who had some massive games last term for the Londoners. Yes, there have been some questions over his suitability to be the uncontested number one at such an illustrious club, but they have grown increasingly quiet over the past couple of seasons, and he has grown in stature and presence as his shot-stopping has improved. But even with that in mind, Arsenal have been linked as favourites to sign former Madrid 'keeper for most of the summer, presumably because he fits the bill as the "old head" 'keeper they've traditionally been most successful with. Will He Sign? It really depends on whether Arsene Wenger is willing to spend an extortionate amount of wages on a player who would not be likely to be first choice, in order to take advantage of his impact on the younger 'keepers in the squad. So no, in other words.
