The Premier League has had its fair share of rough, tough and hard-hitting players. Because of this, there are several contenders for this record. Names such as Vinnie Jones, Martin Skrtel, Duncan Ferguson, Robbie Savage, Roy Keane and several others may come to mind. However, the claimant of this award is quite surprising.

With an incredible 633 Premier League fouls to his name, Gareth Barry has committed more fouls than any player in history.

In Barry’s defence, he has also played the most Premier League matches of any player ever at 653, so he actually averages less than one foul per game. With that being considered, Gareth Barry is quite a clean player.

The highest amount of fouls per game on average falls to Marouane Fellani, who averages 2.3 fouls a game after committing 588 Premier League fouls. Fellaini is hot on Barry's heels for the record, despite having played less than half the amount of matches Gareth Barry has.
