Given the outcome of the previously mentioned record, the owner of this one probably isn’t too surprising. Gareth Barry is not only responsible for the most fouls ever, but has also been shown more yellow cards than any other player in Premier League history.

The veteran midfielder played for four different Premier League sides during his top flight career, which spanned over 20 seasons. Gareth Barry is a one time Premier League champion, having won the league with Manchester City in 2012. Despite his impressive collection of 123 yellow cards, Gareth Barry only saw red six times in his Premier League career and averaged a yellow card roughly once every five games.

Again, Barry has claimed this record simply because he has played the most games. Joey Barton has the highest amount of yellow cards per game on average, earning a yellow card once every 3.4 games.
