4. Vlad Chiriches: Mr. Composed
After another uncomfortable start (following on from his uncomfortable game against Aston Villa in the League Cup), Vlad Chiriches emerged as the official Man of the Match in one of the most composed performances from a defender that I've ever seen. However, he was so composed, so casual, so relaxed that it actually started to concern me. At times, he overplayed the ball - opting to see if he could take on two opposing strikers instead of passing to a team-mate or simply hoofing the ball up the field. I'm not sure whether it was just due to the opposition, or an over eagerness to impress, but if Chiriches tries to play the way he did against Anzhi in the Premier League he will be made to pay for it. Composure is great, and it worked for him against a relatively poor team, but he needs to avoid getting cocky in the big games.
