Jordan Henderson: Fluffed his lines when he countered after nipping in on Cazorla. Blazed over in second half. Gave critics fuel for their campaign, but then deputized at right back later on. 5/10. Steven Gerrard: His years of slaloming forward look behind him now. Gerrard still pings it about well enough though. Nothing the Kop idol could have done to inspire his side here who were outnumbered in the middle. 5/10 Daniel Sturridge: Took up good position and produced fine hold-up player on the counter, but lacked support and not found often enough. 5.5/10. Luis Suarez: Tried to get Liverpool going, but his best endeavour led to blocked crosses and shots. Wicked strike deflected behind. Dragged shot when he could have squared to Sturridge. Good decision making overridden by selfishness here. 4.5/10. Subs: Philippe Coutinho: Got 45 minutes on his return from injury. Couldn't make a difference, passes were too heavy. Shot at close quarters saved by Szczesny late on. 4.5/10. Victor Moses: Rodgers turned to this natural wideman too late. Rating N/A. Who was your man of the match? Have your say below.
