Arsenal 2-0 Spurs: FA Cup Player Ratings

Arsenal

Lukasz Fabianski: Stood strong on near post to deal with Eriksen's early effort and held Dembele strike in second half. Had nothing else or anything remotely challenging to do. 5.5/10. Bacary Sagna: Gunners right back was on the fringes of this one. Eriksen always came inside and Chadli did little when he came on. Another clean sheet for the defence. 5.5/10. Laurent Koscielny: Moved across to right centre back with Mertesacker rested and settled after initially being shaky. Changed back to when the giant German came on second half. Rarely in danger when Sherwood went one up front. 6/10. Thomas Vermaelen: Booked for bringing down Dembele and subbed at half time. Whatever Wenger used to see in the Arsenal club captain he's lost it. 5.5/10. Nacho Monreal: Involved in a couple of incidents with Walker that could have resulted in penalties for both teams. Lennon kept him back in defence quite a bit, but a clean sheet. 5.5/10. Mikel Arteta: An assured presence at the base of midfield. Played quite a lot of football over the festive period, so Wenger subbed him before the end. 6/10. Jack Wilshere: Got involved in a spat with Mousa Demebele. Good in approach play again today. Subbed. 5.5/10. Serge Gnabry: Saw a swerving shot go over early in the first half. Assisted Cazorla's goal with a burst through the middle. Petulant stamp in stoppage time spoilt a promising performance. 6/10. Tomas Rosicky: Caught Rose in possession and raced clear to score the second goal. Great example that you can still have energy in ageing legs. 6/10. Santi Cazorla: Consummate finish for the opening goal on an elegant display from the Spaniard. 6.5/10. Theo Walcott: Our man of the match. A danger in behind the Spurs defence right from the get-go. Twice forced saves from Lloris first half and other efforts were deflected behind and went over. Clever run initially took Tottenhan centre backs away from Gnabry in the build-up to the Cazorla goal. Stretchered off late on and that was a shame. 7/10. Subs: Per Mertesacker: Brought on at half time for Vermaelen, who was on a booking. Gunners defence looked more solid with the giant German in it. 6/10. Mathieu Flamini: Wenger turned to his midfield destroyer when he wanted to shore things up for the last 20 minutes. 5/10. Mesut Ozil: Given 15 minutes on his return from a shoulder problem. Forced Lloris into a fine stop late on. Rating N/A. Click next for Spurs player ratings.
