5. Diego Costa
Arsenal has already been linked with making a move for Brazilian striker Diego Costa with a £32m fee being suggested by the
Mirror. It hardly comes at a massive surprise that the Gunners would be looking at the Atletico Madrid forward as he has been quite superb in less than half a season. If Luis Suarez is the current striking story of the Premier League, then Costa is very much the same in La Liga. He is the only man in European football to have scored as many league goals as Suarez at 19 for the season, which means that he has outscored Cristiano Ronaldo, Guiseppe Rossi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in domestic league games. Costa has also an impressive average rating in La Liga of 7.81. Its arguable that with Ozil in the building, Wenger is really after a pure goalscorer and Costa seems to fit the bill with just one assist this season. The fact that he has been able to score his 19 goals from only 3.4 shots per game shows his efficiency; hes certainly not the type of striker that needs half a dozen chances to score!
