Arsenal Transfers: 10 Defensive Midfielders Arsenal Must Sign

10. Felipe Melo

Club: Galatasaray A move for this Brazilian was widely expected in 2009 but instead he opted to join Juventus and stay in Italy (making his move from Fiorentina). Many said that his overly aggressive temperament wasn't the answer to the lack of fight in the Arsenal midfield, but he would have at least provided some bite. Instead, after two years in Turin he was loaned out to Galatasaray for the whole 2011-2012 season. He did re-join the Turkish team for this campaign, however it is widely suspected that the Italian club have a recall option in the loan agreement. Melo would probably come cheaper then he would have before his Juve move (he cost them £19.75 million) and would welcome the chance to win some silverware in England. http://youtu.be/uYWmNJKKDsY Have I missed out on any obvious players you think could/would join the Gunners, or maybe there's a lower league player you think could make the leap?
