5. Ricky Lambert
Rickie Lambert is a player that Arsenal need possibly more than any other - an out-and-out goalscorer. Give Lambert a chance and he will score - he's already scored 6 goals for Southampton this season, which is good considering the chances they've had. I don't care what league you came from, but if you can find the net with incredible regularity given the opportunities then you can play for any team in the world. Lambert is strong with his head, is physical, English, and has brilliant long-range shooting potential. Considering this is the first time he has played in the Premier League in a career that began way back in 1998, imagine how much he would relish the chance to play for one of the biggest clubs in Europe, and compete in the Champions League which is richly deserved for his hard work. People would cling onto the story, and this signing would work out for the best (or possibly not)
