Arsenal Transfers: 3 Potential Last-Minute Panic Signings

3. Michu

Arsenal have turned their attention to the Spaniard following their futile pursuit of unsettled Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. Although Swansea have slapped a £25 million price tag on their star man, Arsene Wenger has little room for his trademark stinginess as the transfer window winds up. Michu has established himself as one of the most lethal finishers in the Premier League since arriving from Rayo Vallecano in 2012, scoring 18 goals in 36 appearances for the Swans. Further pressuring the Frenchman to find attacking reinforcements, Arsenal supporters are still licking their wounds after missing out on Gonzalo Higuain to Napoli. The Gunners have been desperately searching for a reliable goalscorer all summer and with so few strikers available this late in the window, Michu, who is likely to move up a level from Swansea next season, is one their last remaining hopes.
