1. Money
Lets start with the obvious. At 28, van Persies next move could be his last. Zlatan Ibrahimovics 14million-per-year- after tax wages at PSG show that the money still flows in even if you are thirty, but realistically if RVP wants a final payday while still playing in a top league, then this is the time. City will happily make him one of their top earners, earning at least £200,000 a week, with plenty of add ons. No one can match that, except maybe teams in the Middle East and China, but van Persie is nowhere near ready to take such a step down. If its personal reward van Persie is after, Manchester City is the place to be.
