It was good to hear that, at least for German football fans, the spirit of Baddiel & Skinner continues to live on 17 years after Euro 96. Its been many a long time since such a passionate rendition of Footballs Coming Home has been heard within an English football stadium and I must admit I felt a tingle of nostalgia on hearing it resurrected once again. Yes it sounds dated and old fashioned but at the same time reassuring; a reminder of a happy time for English football.
