Aston Villa 0-2 Spurs: 5 Key Things We Learned

1. Spurs' Depth Is Ridiculous Now

Spurs were able to bring on the likes of Aaron Lennon, Moussa Dembele and Jermain Defoe today - with players of the quality of Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela not even getting a look in. That is astounding depth in anyone's book. The North Londoners brought in Vlad Chiriches for his Premier League debut, Sandro for his first Premier League start since January and Lewis Holtby for only his fifth start in the Premier League since he joined the club at the start of the year - this really emphasises just how much depth Spurs have. When you also bear in mind that Etienne Capoue, Younes Kaboul and Danny Rose are still out injured, the likes of Tom Carrol, Jake Livermore and Benoit Assou-Ekotto are out on loan, and the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor, Zeki Fryers and Nacer Chadli simply didn't make the squad, it becomes evident that it's almost unbelievable how much talent they have to call upon. So there you have it; Five things we learned when Spurs beat Aston Villa 2-0 at Villa Park on Sunday. Do you agree? What else did we learn? Let us know in the comments box below.
