In the same week that Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed his displeasure at Real Madrid, all is not well in the Barcelona camp. Cesc Fabregas has spoke of his unhappiness at being a bit-part player. Even though he is at the club of his dreams, he does not want to watch those dreams play out from the bench. So, should he stay or should he go?
Stay?
Xavis Successor
Pep Guardiola bought Fabregas as Xavis replacement and he was to follow in the footsteps of true greatness. Fabregas enjoyed a fantastic start last season in the free role he is has become familiar with since his time at Arsenal. Halfway through the season, Guardiola began to employ Fabregas into Xavis role. Fabregas did not play so well. Nevertheless, Fabregas, once a Barcelona youngster, will play in his dream position once Xavi has retired. He will be the heart and brain of Barcelonas possessional domination. Even though Xavi is the preferred choice and Fabregas is not being used in a free role, this is only the start of Tito Vilanovas reign. Things can change. Xavi is not as fit as he used to be and can no longer play very game. If Fabregas is prepared to wait, he will play.
