Chelsea Transfers - 5 Reasons Benitez Must Sign David Villa

4. The Spanish Trifecta

Euro Three of the most impressive Spanish players in recent times have been Juan Mata, Fernando Torres and David Villa. Between Torres and Mata, 27 goals have been plundered at Stamford Bridge this season. Throw in the two that Villa has managed so far for Barcelona and you have almost 30 - that's not a bad goal scoring record at all. If Villa can get back to his days at Valencia where he scored 13 times in 2008/09 then what you have is a pretty formidable trio of Spanish players at Chelsea. There's a lot of if's, but's and maybe's there, but the fact is there is certainly potential - don't forget these three players have contributed to Spain winning pretty much everything there is going internationally for the last four years - two back to back European Championship's and a World Cup to boot.
