Juan Mata has been simply tremendous since he signed from Valencia two seasons ago. How Arsene Wenger must be kicking himself right now. With 35 assists and 20 goals last season, Mata was again voted Chelseas Player of the Season and should he start tonight then the temptation might be to stick someone like Delph on him for the 90 minutes. His touch and awareness are second to none and he could run the game, like he has so many since he joined the Blues. Fleetingly, Manchester United supporters were licking their lips at the prospect him joining as some sort makeweight in a potential Rooney deal and no wonder judged on his performances since coming to England. There is a ludicrous theory floating around the Mata is not a Mourinho player, which seems preposterous as this guy is a serious player. If Villa fail to get to grips with him then hell rip them apart at the Bridge. Again!
