College Football: Top 8 Finishes Of The Season

4. Texas A&M 52 - Duke 48 (December 31, 2013)/Alabama 49 - Texas A&M 42 (September 14, 2013)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MEPJiuJ6GM After years of being an ACC cellar dweller, the Duke Blue Devils were one of the feel-good stories of 2013 with upset wins over Virginia Tech and Miami during their eight-game win streak to end the year. Although they fell short in the ACC title game against eventual national champion Florida State, the 2013 season was something Duke football fans should be proud of. They had already taken on one Heisman winner in Jameis Winston, so another would be added to the list in Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel. Fans thought the powerful Aggie offense would steamroll the upstart Blue Devils behind Manziel's amazing plays, but Duke came to the Chick-Fil-A Bowl with one goal in mind: Finish strong. Texas A&M got shellshocked as Duke jumped out to a early 21-3 lead and kept the pressure going throughout the first half, going into the intermission with a 38-17 lead. As expected, Manziel would lead the offense back in the second stanza behind his athletic play and gift of improvisation. (See here.) The Aggies outscored the Blue Devils 35-10 in the second half in what would be "Johnny Football's" swan song as a collegiate athlete, knocking off the scrappy Duke Blue Devils, 52-48. This is a tie because both games had an entertainment factor through the roof thanks to Johnny Manziel. Alabama got revenge on the Aggies after suffering a loss last year in Tuscaloosa at the hands of the eventual Heisman winner.
