Coventry City: 4 Teams Who Come Back From Liquidation

1. AFC Wimbledon

Chances are these people are MK Dons fans. The buying, relocation and rebranding of Wimbledon to Milton Keynes in 2004 is an event that leaves a sour taste in the mouth of many football fans, and rightfully so. MK Dons were allowed to keep all of Wimbledon€™s trophies at the time and more importantly their place in the Football League. Wimbledon fans, obviously disgruntled by the events formed their own club: AFC Wimbledon who was going to start from the bottom and work their way up. Nine years it took AFC Wimbledon to climb back to the Football League, an incredibly impressive feat considering the financial restrictions and also the level of quality now competing in non-league. The team are entering their third season at that level now and will hope to continue to rise over the coming years.
