Crystal Palace V Chelsea - 5 Things To Expect

3. Back To Counter Attacking

The last few home games have seen Palace dominate possession and play on the front foot. Wins against Southampton and Newcastle suggested that Palace had learned to break down sides at home after initially struggling, but the draw against Swansea told a familiar tale. Chelsea will more than likely dominate possession on Sunday so Palace will surely look to play on the counter and hope to stretch Chelsea's back line - especially if the aging Branislav Ivanovic and John Terry start. The last thing Palace will want to do is play long balls in front of the Chelsea defence as they will mop those up all day. Palace will need to exploit the pace and trickery of Wilfried Zaha and they should try to get him one-on-one with Ivanovic at the earliest moment.
