1. The Wembley Wait
Fortunately I knew of a bar in the stadium that remains open after full time, because if you leave the stadium at the final whistle you and tens of thousands of other poor souls can stand on Wembley Way, with the mounted police forming barriers every fifty or so yards, funnelling the crowds to the train station. Of course, there is no easy way to move 90,000 people from one place to the various parts of the city and the country, but it was near freezing last night and it can take over half an hour, huddled on the cobbles with everyone else, just to get to Wembley Park station. Still, with England winning it felt a little warmer. Were you at the England vs Brazil match? Share your observations below.
