Yet another Swedish midfielder on this list, Tobias Linderoth arrived under the radar in 2001, signed for a paltry £2.5m in order to help ease Evertons crippling midfield injury crisis at the time. If his plaudits were to have been believed, he would prove to be a steal for the club. Sadly that did not prove to be the case, as an unremarkable spell on Merseyside that was marred by injuries ended after just three years. He made just 40 league appearances for the club in that period, with his only goal coming in a League Cup fixture against Charlton Athletic. Sadly the Swedish midfielder just failed to establish himself at Goodison Park with many fans claiming he was simply anonymous in most of the games he played. He left for FC Copenhagen in the summer of 2004, with many sources claiming that David Moyes was happy to see him leave so the club did not have to pay another £200,000 to Staebaek, the club he had signed from. He played 82 times in the league for the Danish club winning two titles and qualifying for the Champions League, before moving to Turkish giants Galatasary in 2007 where he retired after just 13 appearances in the Turkish league.
