Though his most high-profile stints in charge of Liverpool and England didn't prove to be unqualified successes, Roy Hodgson has earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the most well-travelled and accomplished managers in English football.

With nearly half a century, (yes you read that right) of managerial experience under his belt, it's difficult to imagine a time when Roy wasn't occupying the dugout, and that is largely due to the fact that after failing to make the grade as a player at his current club, Hodgson bounced around non-league football before taking his first managerial job before his 30th birthday.
