Though his team are currently fighting to stay in the Premier League, Daniel Farke remains a respected figure in charge at Norwich City after they earned promotion as Championship winners last season.

Prior to moving into coaching, Farke spent the entirety of his playing career as a striker in his native Germany, turning out for a number of different sides without ever reaching the Bundesliga.

Though management appears to have come naturally to Farke, he is the first to admit his own shortcomings as an athlete, noting that while he had an eye for goal, his sluggish speed meant that he had reached his footballing ceiling in the lower reaches of German football.
