2. First Wild Speculation With A Basis Of Truth...
Technically this is a bit of a cheat as the season hasn't started yet, but it goes to this article on the BBC F1 website:
McLaren set to use Honda engines. The point of the article, if you couldn't be bothered to read it, is that McLaren are set to rekindle an old engine partnership and reunite with Honda in 2015 - a year after the new regulations come into force. While the article contains a quote from a McLaren spokesman stating that they wouldn't comment on media speculation it's worth remembering that Eddie Jordan predicted the Hamilton to Mercedes rumours before anyone else did - don't call this one down and out too quickly. However, if we were not to count this article on a technicallity (let Charlie Whiting be the judge of that) then to pull one out the thin blue air I would expect to see articles based on Robert Kubica returning, even though he has just confirmed a full season with Citroen in WRC2, failing that expect countless speculation of a 12th team taking over the space vacated by HRT - who could it be? Ferrari B team a la Torro Rosso? The ever mooted Porsche F1 programme?
