5. Happiness
It is plain to see that this year, Lewis is a completely to the man that he was in 2011. Having dealt with issues in his personal life, from the sacking of his father as his manager as well as the breakdown of his relationship with pop star Nicole Scherzinger, Lewis has been able to prepare himself and focus properly on the year ahead. His reinvigorated happiness has shown in his results, and in spite of some errors from his team, he has remained cool, calm and collected in the face of adversity and this attitude can only put him in a strong position for the rest of the season. Lewis knows that he needs to strike the right balance in his personal and professional life in order to capitalise on the opportunities that are presented to him. Given the strength of the McLaren car this season, now is the time for Hamilton to deliver the potential of both himself and the team. This year he has the potential to mount a serious title challenge provided that he and the team do not make any more major mistakes and that they collectively deliver the results when they matter.
