Inter Milan vs Spurs: 5 Things Tottenham Must Do In 2nd Leg

4. Avoid An Early Goal

Inter were very, very poor at White Hart Lane last week. Their passing was atrocious, their attack was blunt, and their defence was laboured. That said, a team containing Cambiasso, Zanetti, Rodrigo Palacio, and Ricky Alvarez cannot be underestimated. The Nerazzurri may desire Champions League football even more than Spurs, given their fall from grace since the days of Jose Mourinho, and this will likely be demonstrated by the attendance in the cavernous San Siro. However, an early goal will raise their hopes, and as any Tottenham fan know, there is no better team at throwing away a lead as the Lilywhites. If Spurs can keep a clean sheet for the first twenty five, thirty minutes it should evaporate all hope for the Italians and allow Tottenham to cruise through the rest of the game. Obviously an away goal will help immensely and relax all Spurs fans, but not conceding will be key.
