This is a simple entry to this list. The old saying goes that none of us truly knows how we will react during perilous, stressful or harrowing moments until we encounter them. A true test of character in many cultures, the pressure of a situation is believed to show us who we really are.

If that is correct then Kobe truly is a great. Acting with a calm, assertive and a instinctive tone, Bryant was confronted by a vehicle crash that had occurred in Newport Beach, California. The accident took place a little over a month prior to his tragic death, perhaps acting as a stark reminder that nothing is guaranteed.

After witnessing a car collide with another at over 65mph, Bryant can be seen on video blocking the road with his vehicle, making his way through smoke and assisting the victim in danger. He can be seen motioning to others to slow and stop, and acts as a conduit between the arriving officials and the victims having spent time with them ensuring they were safe and in good condition.

A fantastic act of kindness and a showcase of the nature of a man in a situation that may have overwhelmed others.
