3. Return Of Pau
Pau Gasol's return to action would provide a boost to an already thin Lakers bench. Just before Gasol's injury, he provided Lakers with a strong sixth-man option that was capable of providing a double-double in points and rebounds off the bench. If Clarke continues his struggles for form this March, then the Spanish international could find himself back in the Lakers starting line-up. Any potential presence in the LA outfit's first team would also depend on how well he and Dwight Howard work together towards the backend of this season, with doubts having been raised over the compatibility of the pair in earlier outings this season. Pau's return can mean the continuing of the impressive form of the Lakers providing additional bench options alongside Meeks, Blake and Jamison and this could in turn lead to decreased minutes for the likes of Kobe in an attempt to preserve his impressive form against ageing which is currently showing no signs of slowing him down. Perhaps Gasol's return could lead to a stronger starting 5 with either MWP or Clarke being demoted to a bench role. Then again Gasol's return could disrupt the momentum which the Lakers have built up in the last month which has led them to breaking the .500 barrier for the first time in a while.
