League Predictions - 2013/2014 Season

La Liga (Spain)

The Spanish league is going to be very interesting this year. Both of the major clubs will be starting the campaign with new managers €“ Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho parted ways, and Tito Vilanova at Barcelona had to, unfortunately, step down due to health concerns. In addition to this, both clubs, as well, have been spending (or trying to spend) money to upgrade their already incredible squads. It will be a very interesting season, and here go the predictions! Winner: Barcelona I can€™t look past Barcelona for the championship, even though it will be extremely tight against a very formidable Madrid side, especially if Madrid manage to sign Gareth Bale as well. Lionel Messi, who is, beyond all debate, the best player in the world at the moment, now has his preferred choice as his manager. I have to believe that he will perform even better under his choice of manager, and, with the addition of Neymar to the attack, Barcelona will be the champions once again. Relegated: Real Valladolid I have to admit, I just picked what looked like the poorest squad of the newly-promoted teams for this prediction. Valladolid gained promotion via a playoff, and their squad does not look like it will be able to compete against the best of the best that comprises La Liga.
