Liverpool: 4 Things Brendan Rodgers Got Right In His First Season

1. They Can Play Without Suarez

Throughout last season there has been accusations that Liverpool were a 'one man' team, that man of course was Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan forward had a great season last year scoring a total 23 Premier League goals. Surely Liverpool couldn't survive without him when he had a moment of madness, biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic which resulted in him missing the last 4 matches of the season, although Brendan Rodger had other ideas. Thanks to the January signings of Daniel Sturridge from Chelsea and Philippe Coutinho from Inter Milan he know had the personnel to cope with it. In the last four games of the season Liverpool had a win percentage of 75%, staying unbeaten and scoring an average of 2.5 goals per game. This was a considerable improvement from the 4 Premier League games Suarez missed due the the race row in the previous season. Then they only won 1 game losing 2 and managed only 1.75 goals per game.
