Liverpool: 5 Reasons The Reds Can Win The Premier League

4. Brendan Rodgers

We don€™t talk about managers a great deal when we do these kinds of lists. However, it€™s important to remember that they are ultimately the ones that mould a team together. Maybe I have a bit of a soft spot for Brendan Rodgers because he is a British manager €“ but I do think he deserves a huge amount for credit for Liverpool€™s exploits this season. He is one of those managers that I can see staying at Liverpool for an awfully long time, like David Moyes did at Everton or Sir Alex Ferguson did at Manchester United. I know some people thought it was a bit strange when the Reds appointed Rodgers from Swansea City €“ but it€™s clear now that they knew exactly what they were doing. Rodgers has previously worked under Jose Mourino as well as managing Watford, Reading and of course Swansea €“ it€™s clear that experience has helped to mould him into a very capable Premier League manager. His spell with the Reds has certainly proved to be the most successful of his career so far and he currently enjoys a 50% win ratio.
