Liverpool: 5 Reasons Why Luis Suárez Isn't Such a Bad Guy

4. The Witch-Hunt

I would like for you to look at the images below.

Mirror Headline

Same newspaper, same incident, different player. I like the bit with the big headline. You know, the one calling Suarez a RACIST. I also like the second one, with Terry seeming to be the victim. Completely innocent with tears clouding his eyes. So equality for all it seems, especially as one was charged without evidence, unlike the other. But hey, one paper doesn't show national bias, does it? Just the bias of a certain editor (Mr Oliver Holt, if any of you reading are concerned).

So, instead of a newspaper, how about the Vice President of the leading body in Football? Fifa's Jim Boyce spoke out after the Liverpool - Stoke match up in regard to the Suarez 'diving' incident. In doing so, he titled our Uruguayan friend 'nothing less than a cheater', and his acts were a part of a 'cancer' on the game. Fair enough. I mean, diving is bad in football. No one can argue with that. But while you're at it Mr Boyce, why don't you criticise Gareth Bale - who produced just a worse dive earlier that day. Or Ashley Young, for winning multiple penalties using this technique.

There could be a lot more I could do in this sector, like the fact Suarez received eight games for the racism charge, while Terry only had four games off. But, nevertheless, moving on...
