5. Iker Muniain
The Athletic Bilbao winger has been a long-term target for Liverpool, who, along with Manchester United, have been tracking the prodigious youngster since 2011. The 20-year-old didn't enjoy the best of seasons last term, scoring just the two goals in 43 overall appearances, but the season before he was in inspired form, and quite memorably helped tear United apart in the Europa League, scoring at Old Trafford in a famous 3-2 victory for the Basque-based club. Such was his form then, he was nicknamed "the Spanish Messi" and quickly had a £20 million price tag slapped on his head thanks to his 10 goals and 10 assists during the 2011/12 season which helped his side reach the final of both the Europa League and the Copa del Rey. In spite of his waning form,
Liverpool retain an interest in the starlet, and could make a renewed effort to sign him this summer. Muniain has been with Bilbao since the age of 15, and could welcome a fresh challenge in the Premier League.
