Liverpool Transfers: 5 Players Brendan Rodgers Could Have Signed But Didn’t

We saw David Beckham join Paris Saint-Germain and pledge to donate his salary to a children's charity; we saw QPR make a club-record signing by capturing former Blackburn defender Christopher Samba from Anzhi and we saw Arsenal add left-back Nacho Monreal from Malaga. Liverpool, it seems, had no intentions of joining the above clubs in frantically scrambling for new recruits on transfer deadline day, with Brendan Rodgers getting his transfer business wrapped up with days to spare. Daniel Sturridge had already moved from Chelsea, while Philippe Coutinho became the second (and last) winter signing at Anfield after he moved from Italian giants Inter Milan. In fact, there were more out-goings at the club than arrivals. Joe Cole, Adam Morgan, Nuri Sahin, Danny Wilson and Alexander Doni all left Anfield.
