4. He Wont Be Playing With His £35 million Label
Its not difficult to point out that the rather ridiculous nature of his transfer to Merseyside has hindered him somewhat, to put it into perspective he is on the list of the highest 20 transfer fees in football history. You can look down that list and see Cristiano Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, Kaka, Robinho and...Andy Carroll. Really? That has hindered him in his time at Liverpool as hes been constantly been trying to live up to the price tag as well as filling the boots of Fernando Torres; the whole Youll Never Walk Alone feeling seems not to apply to £35 million under achievers...Or managers who dont get results...Or players who want to leave for better things... If he was to move on he would be playing as a high rise loan signing for a smaller, more self-aware club who will want him for specific desires and needs. He will be appreciated and wanted; not the victim of skepticism for a ludicrous price tag.
