2. The Team is Centered Around Him
Not many footballers ever get the chance to have a team based around them, but with Steven Gerrard coming to the twilight of his career and Jamie Carragher retiring, Luis Suarez has the chance to be the main man in a Liverpool revival under Brendan Rodgers. The signings of Daniel Sturridge and Phiilipe Coutinho have already been effective in helping Suarez lift the burden of carrying the team and that can only be good for the future progression of the club. It also means that Suarez is able to play with more freedom and creativity in the hole just behind Sturridge and further his status as being integral to his managers' long term plan. Suarez is loving his football at Liverpool at the moment and this was shown on Thursday, after his second sumptuous free-kick, in the passion of his celebration and his desire to single-handedly pull Liverpool back from the dead. This is exactly the kind of passion that could see him held as high as Dalglish, Gerrard and the rest of the Liverpool immortals in the eyes of the fans, should he decide to stay.
