Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany will have his fitness assessed having
angered manager Roberto Mancini by featuring for Belgium mid-week against the Italian's wishes. Sergio Aguero is back having missed the last three games with a knee problem. Newcastle have a number of notable absentees. Cheick Tiote misses out with a hamstring injury, while full-backs Mathieu Debuchy, Davide Santon and Massadio Haidara are also sidelined. Hatem Ben Arfa continues his lay-off, though he could now return before the end of the season.
