Man Utd: 10 Reasons Louis Van Gaal Is Doomed To Fail

4. This Is Not A Long-Term Appointment

Louis Van Gaal has signed a three-year contract and it remains to be seen if he will see that out or extent it beyond that time period. Football has clearly changed a lot in recent years, but I still like the fact that a manager can stay at one club for a long time. This is a big reason why the appointment of this manager is strange, I would have preferred to have seen a younger man brought in. Van Gaal is 62 now and probably won€™t be looking for a long stay in England. I earlier mentioned his two biggest jobs in charge of Barcelona and Bayern Munich it€™s worth mentioning that his spell at the German giants only lasted around two years while his second spell at Barcelona was less than a year. When it comes to staying in a job for a long time that has only really come in the jobs he has held in his own country. Therefore, a stay for even three years at Old Trafford has to be put in some doubt.
